Thank you for visiting our website during Black History Month (BHM).

For nearly 40 years The Forum @ Greenwich has been at the heart of the local Greenwich community and prides itself on being a diverse and multicultural centre, welcoming individuals from all ages, background, and abilities.

We had planned a few events at the Centre to celebrate BHM, but due to the current on-going COVID-19 restrictions outlined by the Government, we regretfully had to put these on hold. However, the Committee has put its creative thinking caps on to ensure we can still celebrate such an important part of history. To keep everyone safe, we have turned to our online platforms to bring the community some fabulous content including articles from local community members, performances, and competitions.

Over the next five weeks, you will see a variety of content uploaded daily to our website, and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter) relating to and celebrating Black History Month 2020.

This is our chance to recognise the important and invaluable service and contributions that our black community has brought and continues to bring to the Royal Borough of Greenwich. We hope that you will find them educational, fun, and enjoyable.

To kick off our first event, we have a competition to guess the faces in our BHM 2020 collage; winning entries will be entered into a draw and chosen at random. Please send your entries by 5pm on Sunday, 4 October via email to:

Good luck and best wishes,
