Kairos provides active rehabilitation for people suffering chronic and persistent painful conditions which have not responded to usual treatments. It is part of the Vanbrugh Community Pain Management Clinic
Two one-to-one therapies, rhythmical massage and eurythmy (gentle movement) aim to improve physical confidence and mental wellbeing by reducing the burden of symptoms. These commonly include pain, insomnia, exhaustion, immobility, anxiety & depression. Various social and work-related small group activities including choir, music, art, craft, puppetry & jewelry as well as outings and celebrations are arranged from time to time. These help develop new interests, skills and friendships to overcome social isolation. Kairos is also now working with GAD at the Forum to help with disability benefits problems.
Kairos can be accessed on the NHS by people living within the Borough by your GP referring you to Greenwich MSK Services.
